A regional approach to address the bushmeat problem in Eastern Africa

Pasiansi Wildlife Management Institute

Pasiansi Wildlife Management Institute receives 4 new desktop computers As part of the Bushmeat-free Eastern Africa Network’s commitment to supporting regional wildlife institutions, BEAN provided four new laptops requested by the Tanzania Wildlife Division under the BEAN law enforcement grant program. These computers are the first at the Pasiansi wildlife training institute, where many of Tanzania’s wildlife officers and rangers are trained on wildlife management and law enforcement. BEAN founding member Lowaeli Damalu, who handed over the equipment, is the principal of the Institute and incorporates bushmeat-related issues into the core of her work at the Institute.
