A regional approach to address the bushmeat problem in Eastern Africa

Kenya Wildlife Services

As part of the Bushmeat-free Eastern Africa Network’s commitment to supporting regional wildlife institutions, BEAN founding member Iregi Mwenja, was there to hand over to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) five new laptops. These laptops were purchased through the BEAN law enforcement grants to be used by the law enforcement division at KWS to fight against the illegal trade in bushmeat within Kenya. The computers will be used to develop information management systems for decision-making in law enforcement.
